Days of the week

The days of the week are the seven named divisions of a repeating cycle: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Seven-day week: A repeating seven-day cycle used to organize calendars and social time. The named days are the divisions that make up this recurring calendar cycle.
Calendar: A system for organizing days into longer periods such as weeks, months, and years. Weekdays are one layer in the broader systems used to track civil and religious time.
