Diamond Sutra

The Diamond Sutra is a Mahayana Buddhist scripture in which the Buddha teaches Subhuti that bodhisattvas practice generosity and wisdom without grasping at fixed ideas of self, beings, or spiritual attainment.

Prajnaparamita: A body of Mahayana teachings on the perfection of wisdom and insight into emptiness. The Diamond Sutra belongs to this tradition of wisdom scriptures.
Diamond Sutra paradox: The sutra’s rhetorical pattern of affirming a teaching and then denying it as a fixed designation. Its repeated turns unsettle literal grasping at spiritual concepts.
