Dire Dawa

Dire Dawa is a city and chartered city administration in eastern Ethiopia, developed as a railway hub on the line connecting Addis Ababa with Djibouti.

Ethio-Djibouti Railway: A railway linking Addis Ababa with the port of Djibouti through eastern Ethiopia. Its construction in the early twentieth century led to Dire Dawa’s establishment as a railway town.
