Dmitry Ustinov

Dmitry Ustinov was a Soviet Communist Party leader and defense industrialist who served as Minister of Defense from 1976 until his death in 1984.

Leonid Brezhnev: Leonid Brezhnev led the Soviet Union as Communist Party general secretary from 1964 to 1982. Brezhnev promoted Ustinov into the Politburo and made him defense minister.
