Donetsk Oblast

Donetsk Oblast is an administrative region in eastern Ukraine, bordering Russia and the Sea of Azov. Donetsk is its largest city and designated regional center, though the city has been under Russian control since 2014.

Donbas: A coal-and-industry region spanning parts of eastern Ukraine and southwestern Russia. Donetsk Oblast forms the largest part of the Ukrainian Donbas.
