Equator

The Equator is the imaginary circle at zero degrees latitude, dividing Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. It is equidistant from the geographic poles.

Latitude: Latitude is the angular distance of a point north or south of the Equator, measured in degrees. The Equator is the zero point from which latitude is measured.
Northern Hemisphere: The Northern Hemisphere is the half of Earth north of the Equator. The Equator forms its southern boundary.
Tropical climate: A tropical climate has consistently warm temperatures and is typically found between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. The Equator lies within the tropical belt and strongly influences its seasonal sunlight.
