Edmund Leach

Edmund Leach (1910–1989) was a British social anthropologist who used structural analysis to study social organization and myth, while criticizing aspects of Claude Lévi-Strauss’s method.

Claude Lévi-Strauss: A French anthropologist who analyzed kinship, myth, and culture through recurring structures and transformations. Leach adapted Lévi-Strauss’s structural analysis while disputing parts of his approach.
