Edward VI

Edward VI was king of England and Ireland from 1547 until his death in 1553. During his minority, regents advanced Protestant reforms that reshaped the English Church.

Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset: Edward Seymour was an English nobleman who served as Lord Protector during the early years of Edward VI’s reign. As Lord Protector, he led the government and promoted Protestant reforms from 1547 to 1549.
