Egyptian Revolution of 1952

A military coup led by the Free Officers Movement that overthrew Egypt’s monarchy in July 1952 and paved the way for a republic.

Free Officers Movement: A clandestine group of Egyptian military officers that overthrew King Farouk in 1952. Its officers planned and carried out the coup that began the revolution.
