El Obeid
El Obeid is a city in western Sudan and the capital of North Kordofan state. It is a regional center for trade, transport, and administration.
North Kordofan: A state in central Sudan, with El Obeid as its capital. El Obeid is the state’s administrative center.
Sudanese gum arabic: A plant-derived gum harvested mainly from acacia trees and exported from Sudan. El Obeid is a major trading center for gum arabic produced across western Sudan.
