Eleazar Wheelock

Eleazar Wheelock (1711–1779) was an American Congregational minister and educator who founded Dartmouth College and ran a school intended to educate Native American students.

Moor's Indian Charity School: A school founded by Eleazar Wheelock in Connecticut to educate Native American boys and train missionaries. This was Wheelock’s first institution and the direct predecessor to Dartmouth College.
