Ella Baker

Ella Baker was an American civil rights organizer who championed grassroots leadership and helped establish the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. Her work emphasized collective action over charismatic, centralized leadership.

Martin Luther King Jr.: Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and civil rights leader who advocated nonviolent resistance and led the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
