Emperor Yang of Sui

Emperor Yang ruled China’s Sui dynasty from 604 to 618. His military campaigns and immense construction projects strained the state and helped provoke rebellions that ended the dynasty.

Sui dynasty: A Chinese dynasty that reunified China in 581 and fell in 618. Yang’s policies accelerated the collapse of the dynasty he ruled.
