Enabling Act of 1933

The Enabling Act of 1933 was a German law that allowed Hitler’s cabinet to enact laws without the Reichstag’s approval, including laws that departed from the constitution. Passed under coercive conditions, it became the legal basis for dismantling parliamentary democracy.
