England

England is a country occupying the southern and eastern part of Great Britain. It is the largest constituent country of the United Kingdom and has no separate national government.

Anglo-Saxon settlement of Britain: The migration and settlement of Germanic peoples in Britain from the fifth century onward. Anglo-Saxon kingdoms laid foundations for the English language and political identity.
