Epitácio Pessoa

Epitácio Pessoa was a Brazilian jurist and politician who served as president from 1919 to 1922. His presidency faced labor unrest, regional drought, and conflict between civilian leaders and the military.

Revolta dos 18 do Forte: A 1922 uprising by young Brazilian army officers at Fort Copacabana against the federal government. The revolt marked the first major tenentista challenge during Pessoa’s final year in office.
