Esteban Echeverría

Esteban Echeverría (1805–1851) was an Argentine poet and prose writer whose Romantic works helped shape Argentina’s national literature and political thought.

Romanticism: A movement in art and literature that emphasized emotion, imagination, individual experience, and the power of nature. Its emphasis on feeling and national identity shaped Echeverría’s literary style.
