Eucestoda is a subclass of parasitic flatworms known as true tapeworms. Most have a segmented body and an anterior region bearing organs for attachment to a host.

Proglottid: A proglottid is a reproductive body segment in many tapeworms. Repeated proglottids make the segmented strobila characteristic of many eucestodes.
Cysticercus: A cysticercus is a fluid-filled larval tapeworm stage containing an invaginated scolex. It is the tissue-dwelling larval form of several eucestodes, including pork tapeworm.
