European conger

The European conger (Conger conger) is a large marine eel native to the eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean. It has an elongated, scaleless body, powerful jaws, and a life cycle that ends with spawning in deep water.

Conger eel: A group of marine eels in the family Congridae, including the European conger. The European conger is the best-known member of this broader eel group.
