Fa Ngum

Fa Ngum was the 14th-century founder and first king of Lan Xang, a Lao kingdom that encompassed much of present-day Laos.

Lan Xang: A Lao kingdom founded in the 14th century that ruled much of the Mekong region for several centuries. Fa Ngum established Lan Xang as a unified kingdom around 1353.
