Fast break

A fast break is a rapid basketball attack launched after a change of possession, before the opposing team can organize its defense.

Transition offense: An offensive phase launched immediately after a change of possession, before both teams settle into their usual formations. A fast break is the quickest form of offense during this transition phase.
Basketball: A team sport in which players score by putting a ball through an elevated hoop. The fast break is an attacking tactic within basketball.
Press break: An offensive strategy for advancing the ball against a full-court defensive press. Unlike a fast break after gaining possession, a press break escapes pressure while retaining possession.
