Ferdinand I of León

Ferdinand I ruled León from 1037 to 1065 and held the County of Castile. He expanded his realms and imposed tribute on several Muslim-ruled taifa states.

Sancho III of Pamplona: King of Pamplona from 1004 to 1035, whose rule extended across much of Christian Iberia. Ferdinand inherited the County of Castile through his father Sancho III.
