Ferdinand von Zeppelin

Ferdinand von Zeppelin (1838–1917) was a German military officer and aviation pioneer who founded the company that developed rigid airships bearing his name.

David Schwarz: A Croatian-Hungarian inventor whose metal-clad airship flew in Germany in 1897. Schwarz’s airship helped establish the technical and public context for Zeppelin’s own designs.
