Finnish War

The Finnish War was fought between Sweden and the Russian Empire from 1808 to 1809. It ended with Sweden ceding Finland to Russia, which established the autonomous Grand Duchy of Finland.

Treaty of Fredrikshamn: The 1809 treaty that ended the Finnish War and transferred Finland from Sweden to Russia. Its terms formalized Sweden’s cession of Finland and ended the fighting.
