First Anglo-Mysore War

A war fought from 1767 to 1769 between the Kingdom of Mysore and the British East India Company, ending with the Treaty of Madras.

Treaty of Madras: A 1769 agreement that ended the First Anglo-Mysore War and established mutual assistance between Mysore and the East India Company. It ended the war after Hyder Ali threatened Madras and secured a reciprocal-defense promise.
