Fourth Anglo-Mysore War

The 1799 conflict in which the British East India Company and its allies defeated the Kingdom of Mysore, killed Tipu Sultan, and captured Seringapatam.

Tipu Sultan: The ruler of Mysore from 1782 to 1799, known for resisting British expansion in southern India. His diplomacy and refusal to accept British demands helped precipitate the invasion.
