Francis Fukuyama

Francis Fukuyama is an American political scientist and author whose work examines liberal democracy, political order, state capacity, and political development. He is widely known for arguing that liberal democracy might mark the endpoint of ideological evolution.

The End of History and the Last Man: Francis Fukuyama’s 1992 book argues that liberal democracy could be the endpoint of humanity’s ideological evolution. This book developed the thesis most closely associated with Fukuyama.
