Francisco de Orellana

Francisco de Orellana was a 16th-century Spanish explorer who led the first known European voyage down the Amazon River to the Atlantic in 1541–1542.

Gonzalo Pizarro: A Spanish conquistador who led an expedition from Quito into the eastern Andes in search of cinnamon and riches. Orellana joined Pizarro’s expedition before leading its detached river party.
