François Guizot

François Guizot (1787–1874) was a French historian and statesman who served as prime minister from 1847 to 1848, when the February Revolution ended the July Monarchy.

Louis-Philippe I: Louis-Philippe I was king of the French from 1830 until the July Monarchy fell in 1848. As king, he backed Guizot’s conservative government and shared responsibility for its political course.
