François Villon

François Villon was a 15th-century French poet known for ballads that mingle wit, Parisian street life, crime, and reflections on mortality.

Testament (Villon): A long comic and lyrical poem in which Villon bequeaths mock gifts while reflecting on poverty, desire, and death. This late work gathers his shifting voices, Parisian attachments, and meditation on mortality.
