František Palacký

František Palacký (1798–1876) was a Czech historian and politician who helped shape the Czech National Revival and wrote a major history of the Czech nation.

Josef Jungmann: A Czech writer and linguist whose work helped establish modern Czech literary language. Jungmann’s language project complemented Palacký’s effort to build Czech historical and national consciousness.
