Franz Weidenreich

Franz Weidenreich (1873–1948) was a German anatomist and anthropologist whose comparative studies of fossil hominins shaped research on human evolution, especially at Zhoukoudian.

Davidson Black: A Canadian anatomist who identified Sinanthropus pekinensis from fossils found at Zhoukoudian. Black began the Zhoukoudian research program that Weidenreich later led.
