Fredegund

Fredegund was queen of Neustria as the wife of Chilperic I and a powerful political actor in the Frankish kingdoms during the late sixth century.

Chilperic I: Chilperic I was a Merovingian king of Soissons and later Neustria from 561 until his death in 584. As Fredegund’s husband, his kingship gave her court influence and made their household a center of conflict.
