Freeman Dyson

Freeman Dyson (1923–2020) was a British-American theoretical physicist and mathematician whose work ranged from quantum electrodynamics and nuclear physics to spaceflight and long-term technological futures.

Hans Bethe: Hans Bethe was a German-American theoretical physicist who explained stellar energy production and contributed to nuclear physics. Bethe recruited Dyson to Cornell and supported his early career in the United States.
Dyson series: The time-ordered perturbation expansion of a quantum-mechanical evolution operator. Dyson introduced this expansion in his work connecting scattering theory with quantum electrodynamics.
