Fretilin

The Revolutionary Front for an Independent East Timor is a political movement founded in 1974 that led East Timor’s 1975 declaration of independence and resisted Indonesian rule.

Portuguese Timor: The Portuguese colony that occupied the eastern half of Timor until 1975. Fretilin formed as Portuguese rule ended in this territory.
