Friedrich Schiller

Friedrich Schiller (1759–1805) was a German poet, playwright, historian, and philosopher whose works include The Robbers, Wallenstein, and William Tell.

The Robbers: A 1781 play by Friedrich Schiller about two brothers whose conflict exposes the violence and corruption of society. Schiller’s debut drama made him famous for its rebellious hero and attack on social authority.
