Frozen food is food kept at low temperatures so freezing slows microbial growth and chemical changes that cause spoilage. It can be stored for later preparation or consumption.

Freezing: Freezing is the phase change in which a liquid becomes a solid as it loses heat. Turning water into ice makes less liquid water available for microbial growth and chemical reactions.
Freezing point: The freezing point is the temperature at which a liquid begins to solidify at a given pressure. Dissolved sugars and salts make foods freeze below the freezing point of pure water.
Individual quick freezing: Individual quick freezing rapidly freezes separate food pieces so they remain free-flowing. It lets consumers remove portions without thawing an entire package.
