Fructuoso Rivera

Fructuoso Rivera (1784–1854) was a Uruguayan military and political leader, the country’s first president, and a founder of the Colorado Party.

Manuel Oribe: Uruguayan military leader and politician who served as the country’s second president and founded the National Party. Rivera’s rival, Oribe became the leading figure of the opposing Blanco faction.
