Fulbert Youlou

Fulbert Youlou was a Congolese Catholic priest and politician who became the Republic of the Congo’s first president after independence in 1960.

French Equatorial Africa: A French colonial federation in Central Africa that existed from 1910 to 1958. Youlou’s political career unfolded in its territory before the Republic of the Congo became independent.
