Gary Player

Gary Player is a South African professional golfer who won nine major championships, including the career Grand Slam, and became one of golf’s most successful players.

1965 U.S. Open: The 65th U.S. Open golf championship, won by Gary Player at Bellerive Country Club. Player completed the career Grand Slam with this victory, becoming the first non-American to do so.
Bobby Locke: A South African golfer who won four Open Championships between 1949 and 1957. Locke preceded Player as South Africa’s leading international golf champion.
