Geeta Dutt

Geeta Dutt was an Indian playback singer whose expressive voice shaped Hindi film music and Bengali songs from the 1940s through the 1960s.

Baazi: A 1951 Hindi crime film directed by Guru Dutt, with music by S. D. Burman. Its songs, including “Tadbeer Se Bigdi Hui Taqdeer,” helped establish Dutt as a major playback singer.
Guru Dutt: An Indian film director, actor, and producer known for Pyaasa and Kaagaz Ke Phool. He directed films featuring Dutt’s singing and was her husband.
