George de Hevesy

George de Hevesy (1885–1966) was a Hungarian radiochemist who pioneered radioactive tracers in biology and chemistry. He received the 1943 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Radioactive tracer: A radioactive isotope used to track the movement or transformation of atoms in a system. De Hevesy established this method by following radioactive atoms through chemical and biological processes.
