George V

George V was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions from 1910 until his death in 1936. His reign encompassed World War I, the end of the British Empire’s dominion status, and the monarchy’s transition to the House of Windsor.

House of Windsor: The British royal house founded by George V in 1917, renamed from the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. George V adopted this name during anti-German sentiment in World War I.
