Georgian era

The period of British history associated with the reigns of George I, George II, George III, and George IV, conventionally dated 1714–1830.

House of Hanover: The European royal dynasty that ruled Great Britain from 1714 to 1901. Its accession to the British throne began the era.
Glorious Revolution: The 1688–1689 revolution that removed James II and established a constitutional settlement under William III and Mary II. Its settlement shaped the monarchy and Parliament inherited by Georgian rulers.
