Ghent–Terneuzen Canal

The Ghent–Terneuzen Canal is a ship canal linking Ghent, Belgium, with Terneuzen, Netherlands, on the Western Scheldt. It gives Ghent direct access to the North Sea through Dutch territory.

Terneuzen Locks: A complex of locks at Terneuzen that connects the canal with the tidal Western Scheldt. They manage the level change and ship passage at the canal’s seaward entrance.
