The Würzburg Residence : A German Baroque palace whose grand staircase and Imperial Hall contain major frescoes by Tiepolo. Its staircase fresco, completed in 1753, is among Tiepolo’s largest and most celebrated works.
Quadratura : A form of architectural illusionism that extends real buildings through painted architecture and perspective. Tiepolo used it to make ceilings seem to recede into boundless space.
