Giovanni Boccaccio

Giovanni Boccaccio was a 14th-century Italian writer and poet whose works include the novella collection The Decameron and influential humanist scholarship.

The Decameron: A collection of one hundred tales framed as stories told by ten young Florentines sheltering from the plague. This is Boccaccio’s best-known work and the clearest entry into his storytelling.
