Giulio Natta

Giulio Natta (1903–1979) was an Italian chemist who shared the 1963 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discoveries in the chemistry and technology of high polymers, including stereoregular polymers.

Ziegler–Natta catalyst: A catalyst system, typically based on a transition-metal compound and an organoaluminum compound, used to polymerize olefins. Natta developed these catalysts with Karl Ziegler to make stereoregular polymers.
Karl Ziegler: A German chemist who shared the 1963 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discoveries in the chemistry and technology of high polymers. Ziegler’s catalyst discoveries and Natta’s polymer research formed the Nobel-recognized collaboration.
