Gloria Swanson

Gloria Swanson (1899–1983) was an American actress and producer whose stardom in silent films and performance in Sunset Boulevard made her a major figure in Hollywood history.

Sunset Boulevard: Billy Wilder’s 1950 film about a forgotten silent-film star and a screenwriter drawn into her world. Swanson’s performance as Norma Desmond turned her silent-era image into the film’s central subject.
