Goguryeo–Wei War

A campaign fought in 244–245 in which Cao Wei invaded Goguryeo, captured its capital, and drove King Dongcheon into flight before Goguryeo recovered.

毌丘儉’s Campaign against Goguryeo: A Cao Wei military expedition into Goguryeo in 244–245, commanded by Guanqiu Jian. His forces led the invasion that breached Goguryeo’s defenses and reached its capital.
Cao Wei: A Chinese dynastic state that ruled northern China from 220 to 266 during the Three Kingdoms period. Wei organized the invasion as it sought to secure its northeastern frontier.
Guanqiu Jian: A Cao Wei general who led campaigns against Goguryeo and Wu. He commanded Wei’s main land invasion and left an inscription commemorating the campaign.
